Invisalign® Silver Spring, MD

Clear braces have revolutionized orthodontics, providing discreet, comfortable and relatively expedient treatment for a wide range of cosmetic and oral health concerns. Silver Spring dentist Dr. David Rever has years of training and experience helping children and adults achieve healthier, beautiful smiles with invisible braces. He is an Invisalign® provider and offers this clear aligner system to teen and adult patients who are candidates and have mild to moderate concerns.

Invisalign can make it easy for adult patients to enjoy the benefits of orthodontic care without the hassles, dietary restrictions and embarrassment often associated with traditional braces. Straightening crooked teeth, at any age, will improve your overall oral health and reduce the risk for many common dental problems and bite dysfunction. If you received orthodontic treatment as a child or teen and have experienced shifting teeth or changes in the fit of your bite, Invisalign can be the perfect solution for enhancing aesthetics and restoring oral health.

Benefits of Invisalign

Orthodontic treatment using Invisalign offers benefits for your oral health:

  • Clear aligners are easily removed for eating and oral hygiene
  • Smooth materials used to make the aligners will not irritate the gums and soft tissues of the mouth.
  • Minimal risk of tooth staining that can occur with adhesives in metal braces or when surface areas of the teeth are not able to be cleaned effectively.

About the Invisalign Process

Dr. Rever will take dental impressions of your teeth to be used with the CAD/CAM software that will design your custom aligners. The number of aligners needed for your treatment will depend upon the severity of your dental concern(s) and cosmetic goals.

The aligners will be changed every couple of weeks to gently reposition your teeth. Most patients complete treatment in about a year.

We will provide instructions for wearing and changing your aligners and schedule periodic visits to check your progress. Once treatment is complete, a retainer can keep your smile looking great.
