There can be a variety of reasons why people need braces. Jaw misalignment, crooked teeth, crowded teeth or too much spacing between teeth are just some of them. Conditions that require correction are often genetic. Sometimes, however, treatment is needed because of some type of injury or other outside factor such as excessive thumb sucking in childhood. The type of braces we offer depend on your age and condition. These types include:

•    Ceramic brackets that are bonded or cemented directly to the teeth.
•    Brackets that are attached to the back teeth.
•    Invisalign, Clear Correct, and other removable clear aligner therapy.

Our first step is to take a full set of 3D x-rays of the patient’s head and mouth, and create a model of the teeth. This allows us to customize the appliances for maximum comfort and rapid results. Adjustments are made periodically as the teeth  move into the proper alignment. We follow up with retainers for a period of time to ensure that everything stays in position.
